For today's card I opted to go with the tick tack toe option and used the Ribbon Red and Scallops to design my card with. Here is the sketch and tick tack toe chart for this week
This card is going to a friend for her birthday and she loves roses so I had to be using the beautiful Rosy Posy Set of course. Thanks for stopping by and I hope your day goes well.
A heartfelt Thank-you for a dear friend

Today I made a card for an amazing friend who has been a rock to me since the passing of my husband. Friendships are the most precious of gifts and my father was so right when he told me that true friends are like diamonds...............rare and precious. I am loving water colouring and Penny Black have so many beautiful new releases that lend themselves to this :). Today I used my distress markers to water colour this beautiful floral stamp. I can see this one being inked often.
I am entering this card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge September Nature
and the Simon Says Anything goes challenge as well

Tuesday, August 30, 2016
I am so excited for the new release coming up at Taylored Expression in a few days and I can smell the smoke off my credit card already LOL. It has been a little while since I played in the Share Joy Challenge but it is one I love and I really enjoyed putting this card together today. I chose to play along with the sketch.
For this card I used the Oops a Daisy Stamp set (love this set) and some gorgeous papers from Heidi Swap called favourite things...........the papers are all so scrummy. Thanks for dropping by today!
Reverse Confetti August Sketch
Wednesday, August 24, 2016
I am trying to get a few more masculine cards in my pile as I often fall short of them. I adore the seaside stamps and dies that were released prior to August and thought I would use them for the sketch this month..........Here is this months sketch
I love this set and know that I will be making more cards with it, especially since KaiserCraft just recently released some amazing nautical goodies which include the anchor embossing folder and paper used on this card
Viva la Verve August Sketch 2

Verve August Diva Inspiration Challenge
Tuesday, August 16, 2016
Gorgeous colours and lots of wonderful inspiration from the Diva's make playing this challenge fun. I went through my KaiserCraft paper stash and found some papers that line up with the Challenge colours. Having a Kaiser Craft outlet so close is not a good thing and I think even the best of paper hoarders would be shocked by the stash I have tucked away :).
Thank for dropping by today and as always I wish your day full of crafting and good coffee

I finally found some time to sit down and make a card :), that always makes me happy and I decided to base my card on this months Viva la Verve Sketch.

Verve July Inspiration Challenge
Sunday, July 31, 2016
Gorgeous inspiration for this months Challenge and I have been wanting to play along for a few weeks now and happy that I managed to play before the Challenge closed.
I got my sewing machine out for this one and was fun as I have not done any sewing on a card in quite a while. I love the beautiful fonts that Verve use and the lovely Verses <3 It is always fun to create with these beautiful stamps.
Thanks for stopping by today, may your day be full of craft and good coffee :)
Color Throwdown 403
Saturday, July 30, 2016
Every week I so look forward to seeing the beautiful cards that the amazing team make and think I must play along. Well this week I finally got around to playing along and I am not sure why but I found the colours to be quite a challenge. It seems I just wanted to go bright orange rather than a more peach tone. Anyway that is what I love about a challenge and I am pleased with the finished card. Thanks for stopping by I hope your day is full of blessings and time to craft.

Day Two Altnew Color Your Day Class
Tuesday, July 19, 2016
So happy to have registered for this class as I have opened up stamps that have possibly intimidated me a little. There are so many beautiful cards out there using the Altenew stamps that I wondered if I could do them any justice. Yesteday I watched the Day 2 video and it was about using the color wheel and very helpful. I so need to pop out in the next few days and purchase a wheel. I did play it safe really using red and green but very happy with the combo as red flowers are among the most striking in my opinion. I inked up Lacy Scrolls for the very first time and now I wonder why I had not played with them earlier :) it is such a beautiful set.
Thanks for dropping in and hopefully I will sneak in a card for day three as I have the bug and cannot wait to roll my sleeves up and ink a little.
Thanks for dropping in and hopefully I will sneak in a card for day three as I have the bug and cannot wait to roll my sleeves up and ink a little.
Hopefully today I will find the cords for my lightbox and my backgrounds will be a little less grey :)
Altenew Color Your Day Classes
Sunday, July 17, 2016
I am so delighted to see Therese Clavird teaching over at Altenew as I love her cards and the first lesson has been awesome. I loved the inspiration and it enabled me to create this card. I used a floral stamp from the botanical gardens set and used my Zig watercolor markers. This is the first time I have seriously used them and was really pleased that they were not difficult to use at all LOL.
So without further ado here is the card I created from day one.
Thanks for dropping by, it seems like forever sine I posted a card but thee is so much happening in my life and I have been working like a Trojan for the last six weeks. Cant wait to play with the inspiration from Day two :)

I thought I would go back to one of the very first stamp sets that I purchased from Reverse Confetti for this sketch :) I love to revisit older stamp sets and challenge myself with them. This stamp set is called Forever Fall and it is one I often come back to especially to embellish cards with. Thanks for dropping by today.
Viva la Verve June Sketch
Wednesday, June 8, 2016
So hard to believe we are now into the middle of the year! I recently won a beautiful stamp set and matching dies for commenting during the latest release. These arrived yesterday and I decided to use them for this first challenge of the month. This set is called Beautiful Things and at the moment it is discounted (awesome). I am a big fan of the beautiful sentiments and font styles used by Verve.
Here is the sketch for this fortnight
This is my take on the Sketch, the papers I used here are Kaisercraft papers from a pack called Secret Garden. This was my first use of the pad and I went to my local store today to purchase another one as there are so many papers in the set that I love. Thanks for stopping bye, I so appreciate your visit to my blog.
The Challenge #74
Tuesday, May 24, 2016
Masculine cards are always a real challenge for me and when I saw this weeks photo at The Challenge I knew I would enjoy the challenge of coming up with a card for the guys :)
I really don't have too many masculine type images but have one set from stampin up called Guy Greetings so out it came.
That red really caught my eye as it is one of my very favourite colours and I think a pair of red shoes is a must have in everyone's wardrobe. So it was one feature I wanted to incorporate into my card. Thanks for dropping in, I love and appreciate your visits to my little blog.
