Viva la Verve December Sketch

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

So love the last digital release done by Verve <3 I  purchased the Winter Peace Set and plan to add a few more to my little collection. The fonts are stunning.........it's all stunning
Here is the sketch for this month

I used some long hoarded Kaiser Craft papers to make my card and the little snowflake is from a Stampin up set that I recently purchased. Love this digital set lots and think I may have to start work on another Christmas card using this set!

Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Loved the background on this challenge and decided to cut into my hoarded paper pad from RC for this one. Here is the sketch for this month...........

Well I had three attempts at colouring this reindeer as each time I tried, my beloved copic markers oozed ink all over the place. I am not sure why they are doing this? They have been sitting for quite some time so maybe this is the problem. Here is my take on this months sketch. Thanks for dropping by today.

PTI November Hop

Saturday, November 25, 2017

I so loved the inspiration pic for this month and I did not find it difficult to draw inspiration from the pic at all. I am sure I could make more cards using this as inspiration. Here is the inspiration photo..

Now from this Picture I took inspiration from the plaid napkins and got my plaid builder out :) I then could not resist the opportunity to pull out my pumpkin stamps and then pulled in some of he cream colour that is in the pic. Thanks for dropping by to view my card today. I am now off to enjoy all the cards that have been submitted. Been a little while since I have had time to play along and really enjoyed making this card for today.

Viva La Verve September Challenge

Sunday, September 17, 2017

It feels like forever sine I have been into my little crafting area and just relaxed and made a card. Finally I managed to do just that and I was so keen to join in with the Verve Viva La Verve Challenge which I am delighted to see back in action. Here is the sketch for this month.........

I loved the opportunity I saw here to indulge in some of my much treasured and hoarded patterned papers :). These papers are from Kaiser Craft and while I lived in Australia it was so fun to drive to there outlet not too far from me and splurge on a few goodies. I do miss being able to do that!

Thanks for dropping in :)

Sketch Saturday are being sponsored by AMB illustrations and I just could not resist the Floral Frames and Tags Clip Art. The oval frame was perfect for this challenge, this set is one I will use again and again so very happy with my purchase.
Here is this weeks Sketch and I had lots of fun making a card for this challenge. Also as a bonus I have discovered AMB illustrations and I will be back there to check out some of the beautiful background papers for sure.

And here is my card based on the Sketch. Thanks so much for dropping by and I will be around some of the other bloggers sites to check out the lovely cards that have been posted for this sketch.

Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Tuesday, June 13, 2017

I finally got a beautiful paper pad and some inks from Reverse Confetti and went straight to work on a card with my new goodies. Here is the sketch for this month.

I used one of my favourite stamps sets Love Blooms for the flowers and the sentiment comes from the Walk by Faith set. I hope you like my card for the challenge, I enjoyed putting it together and using my new Paper pad from Reverse Confetti. I have to say I wanted to just hoard it but the challenge saw me using a few sheets.

Color Throwdown Challenge

Friday, June 9, 2017

Awesome colours this week and I had the brand new Dotty turnabout from Concord and 9th sitting on my desk so had to play along. Check out the Challenge board created by Lisa

Sadly for some reason I cannot take a photo that shows my yellow as it really is here it is looking orange but it is definitely yellow, a beautiful Pineapple Yellow from MFT <3

I used Coral Crush cardstock and ink along with Pineaple and Green Room Inks from MFT. The stamp is the new turnaround dotty stamp from Concord and 9th and finished off with a die cut Happy Birthday from Simon Says. Love mixing up my goodies!

Curtain Call Succulent Challenge

Monday, June 5, 2017

I was so excited to see the beautiful inspiration photo for this month and it inspired me to reach for a beautiful succulent set that I purchased from Papertrey Ink a while ago. Oh this pic is so inspiring I think I could make so many cards with this as inspiration and love the added pinks in there too!. I went all glittery with this card and used one of my favourite stencils from MFT for the background with a beautiful silver glitter paste. Thanks so much for stopping by today, it was lovely to get time to craft as life has been super busy with work and home of late. I think I may print this picture and tuck it into my inspiration folder.

Make it Monday Background Stamping with Sentiments

Saturday, May 13, 2017

Oh how I loved Melissa's beautiful creations this week! I was fortunate to have a very free Sunday afternoon so I was able to create a card for this week. Sadly I missed last week with all the business of life. I recently purchased the Paper Doll Basics and two add on packs......the birthday stamps and some Christmas ones. I love all the inspiration out there for these two cute characters and decided to make a birthday card today using Birthday basics 2 for my background. I decided to emboss my sentiment and then sponged over it with Lovely Lady (Pink) and Orange Zest. Then I coloured my Paper doll and balloons and added another sentiment from the Skinny's set. That is it all done and now I am going to send it off to a friend who is always sending out birthday cards :).
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mums out there today............One of the hardest jobs I think but also the most rewarding as well.

Thanks for dropping by today, looking forward to seeing what the next challenge is going to be. Also drooling over the new release and I especially love the new die frames that an be swapped out, Cant wait to see examples of this months tomorrow.

Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Tuesday, April 25, 2017

Was lots of fun playing with this sketch and one that really lends itself to some patterned paper I think

I needed to make a few Baby cards so this was the perfect time to use my stamp set "Cute as a Button"

April 2017 Blog Hop PTI

This is the most organised I have been for a hop, I had my card ready to go five days ago and then forgot to take the photos and blog...............Now just five hours before closing I am blogging!
I have been quite active with the PTI challenges in the last few weeks and what I love is that I am getting joy from sets that have been sitting on my shelf for quite some time now. Wowser Painted Petals is such a beautiful set and I had a lovely time creating with it for this challenge. I took inspiration on the colours and did the smooching technique for my background for the very first time...it was fun and one I plan on using more often as I love the look.

Thanks so much for dropping by today, I hope you have some crafting time to enjoy!

Make it Monday

Friday, April 21, 2017

Patterns behind die cut windows was the challenge for this week and I think cards always look cool with the windows. I thought I would set myself a challenge for this one as I would gravitate towards florals...........Papertrey's florals are so lovely and very hard to resist stamping. So I was looking through my sets and spotted a pattern stamp that is used for like bookmark ends from the Half and Half set. So I embossed this and then went over it with some of the delish Stormy Seas ink.
I then used Enjoy the Ride Stamp set to finish my card making it good to go for my Uncles birthday, great when I can play the challenge and get ahead  on cards that are on the menu!

Release Week Challenge

Thursday, April 13, 2017

What an awesome week of new goodies so far! I am so in love with all the products but know that I am going to have to trim my list down to just a few. I had my order from the last release arrive on Monday and knew I wanted to use my new Butterfly hope stamp set as just adore these new butterflies. Given this I chose this adorable card for my inspiration...........

How beautiful is this card!

For my card I choose to work with Berry Sorbet and Lemon Tart in the card stock and inks. Thanks for visiting, may your Easter break be blessed.

Make it Monday

Saturday, April 8, 2017

Loved this weeks challenge by Lexi and will be making more cards with this design idea in mind.
The challenge was stamping outside the box, I think this would be one of the most CAS type cards I have ever made :) and the possibilities are endless really.
I used one of my stamps from the Woodblock Prints stamp set to create my background and then used the typewriter from Be Mine Valentine. Going to try and play along each week as time allows. I really need to get some of these awesome stamps inked and onto paper!

Papertrey Ink March Blog Hop

Saturday, March 25, 2017

As soon as I saw this inspiration piece (one of three this month) I know it was every reason I could think of to bust out my Meadow Greens Set. This is where inspiration took me, I love this set and have kept it on my desk to play some more.

Now off to look at all the cards that were made this month!

Papertrey Ink 10th Anniversary Challenge: Favourite Florals

Monday, March 13, 2017

Trying to pull my favourite florals set for this Challenge was almost as painful as pulling teeth!. I have several floral sets, it seems each time a new set is released I cant say 'lovely' and leave it there. Nooooooo I think................I really really need that :) and this month is no exception.

I finally decided on one of the first floral sets I purchased and will always love this one.........Happiness in Bloom. I also thought I would take some inspiration from the Feburary Inspiration Colour Charts and Challenged myself to use colours that are not my go to ones and decided to work with this palette

So here is my creation with lots of wonderful inspiration from Papertrey Ink

Reverse Confetti Current Sketch

Tuesday, February 14, 2017

What better way to get back into the swing of things than with a card for the Reverse Confetti Challenge :) . I used the lovely stamp set 'seaside' as thought this would be a lovely card to send off to my Aunt who now has three great grandies. I am sure it will be easy to use and Leonie is one to send lots of cards. Here is the sketch for this week.

Here is the card that I made for this sketch, thanks so much for dropping by.

It seems like forever!

Monday, February 13, 2017

I recently returned to New Zealand after living in Australia for over 11yrs and in that process of moving have been without my crafting goodies for three months!. I am so happy to say that I now have my goodies all lovingly set out in my little sun room which looks out into my garden. I am happy, and hope that although I have a big stint of shifts to cover in the next few weeks, I can get onto the room and make a few cards. Prior to the last of my boxes arriving I found a  diecut thankful from Winnie and Walter. Ialso purchased the new pens and a stamp set from a retailer here in New Zealand and had to have a play. Now that I have all my goodies I was able to finish the card.
Here is to many happy crafting hours in my new spot!

I planted this beautiful David Austin rose only days after arriving and I am now enjoying them cut and in a vase!
