I love what Laurie did for this weeks Make it Monday, so much talent!!!. I then went and looked at the floral stamp sets I have from PTI and then decided to shade the lovely Christmas trees from the Joyful Christmas set. Funny as it is the 1/1/16 and I have made my first Christmas Card :). I did some shading on the trees with my prismas colour pencil Apple Green over the top of the new cardstock vintage jadeite which is so lovely. I then placed vellum over some white cardstock and added my shaded trees to the top. Sadly it is not really clear in my photo. I love the spotty vellum as it looks like big snowdrops :) . Thanks for dropping by today and I hope 2016 brings many blessings for You and Yours............Lyn

Today I worked on a card for this awesome sketch and I cannot believe it has taken me this long to open a stamp set that I fell in love with the minute I saw the previews :). I will not be putting this one away but making a few more cards first as just adore these little flowers and the sentiments too.
Thanks for dropping by and I wish you all the best for 2016 which is so so close now!

I just received another box of Taylored goodies and just could not resist this latest challenge Tic Tac Toe!
For my card I used distress ink, gold (my lovely sequins) and twine. I love this stamp and for sure I will forget a birthday and then put this to good use. The gorgeous cardstock and papers have come from the Hello Happiness collection also from TE. Thanks for dropping by, I hope everyone has a Joyous Christmas, God bless.

When I saw this inspiration photo I knew that I had to pull out a Taylored Kit that was my very first purchase from this company. I fell in love with the floral stamps in this set and still today they are among my favourites. I am going to send this card to a very precious friend in New Zealand so I love the very fitting sentiment :) Although 25 yrs older than myself I have loved and cherished Nonis friendship for many years now and miss that we dont live in the same country anymore............But what a great excuse to book a ticket now and then :). Thanks for dropping by!

I joined up for the monthly kits in November which saw me taking possession of the delish October kit. I have to say I am so delighted with it, the papers are amazing and everything coordinates so beautifully. It certainly makes it so much easier to put cards together. I now have the November kit and cannot wait to play :) Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!

I love the snowmen at Unity and have another winging its way to me at the moment :) I think it is true that a girl can never have enough snowmen stamps :). Thanks for dropping by and be sure to go and check out the release as it is a cracker.

Not often I make cards in this landscape type style but enjoyed this sketch. I found some gorgeous new papers at Kaisercraft this month as they have released a nautical theme and they are so delicious. I am hoping to start on my son Lukies scrapbook album soon and they will be just perfect. Thanks for stopping by :)

I have been pretty quiet on my blog. Life is very busy as I go back to work and also take on the jobs that Kev did. It is only now I see how much he truly did for the kids and myself. I wish I could give him a huge hug and thank him for all that he was as a husband and father. Here are a few cards that I have not blogged :)

I so enjoyed this technique and want to say a big Thanks to Lizzie for sharing this with us all. I used my new stamps from Fair Isle borders, embossed and then inked over with Spring Moss Ink. I love the result and will be sure to use it again. Thanks for dropping by :)

I have recently purchased some stamps from Unity and I am so enjoying stamping with them. This stamp comes from a Kit of the Month which is great value as you get a large sheet of wonderful stamps. This came from the November 2014 kit and there are many more in this kit that I am itching to ink up. I am entering this into the Wednesday Challenge at SimonSays this week. Thanks for dropping by :)

I have quite a few beautiful new stamps from MFT that are still waiting to be used. Oh to be able to just wake stamp drink coffee and stamp some more :) I think I could handle that for a day or two or possibly three even. I adore this stamp by Torico and the gorgeous rabbit is missing from the scene as I took it out with the intention of using and for the life of me I cannot find it!. Guess once I clean up I will come across it. Love this sketch and used some new pens to me that are being stocked at Kaiser Craft called Mepxy Brush Markers and I am really impressed with them. I brought a 12 set (along with a few singles) and the set was 80.00 Australian which works out to about 6.60 roughly. They are refillable like the copics so given they are stocked at my local hangout I may have to invest in a few more. Hope your weekend has been a good one as we draw close to Sunday evening here.

I am so glad I took this class as it has inspired me to do techniques that I have admired but never tried for myself. Today I blended distress inks again this time on smooth cardstock over a beautiful embossed background stamp from MFT. Thanks for dropping by!

I have been taking the Be Inspired Classes with Nicole for the latest release from MFT and this lesson was about creating night sky backgrounds. This is a technique I had not yet tried and it was done onto the textured side of water colour paper. I have to say Nicole makes it look so easy and her blending is perfect, mine not so much but it was fun and I am going to keep making a few of these backgrounds, next I will try it on smooth card stock. Thanks for dropping by today!.

What a very awesome prize to be won by some lucky participant <3. I used the butterfly from the February Kit of the Month along with the sentiment out of the same kit. Thanks for dropping by today :) and happy stamping.

Love this sketch and decided to make a Christmas card for this one as it would be awesome to make all my own this year instead of falling short and having to buy some :). I have used lovely Kaiser Craft Papers for this one that were released for Christmas two years ago but I hoard paper like Scrooge Mc Duck would hoard his money :). The stamp set used is Verve Pinecone Christmas I expect I will make a few cards with this awesome set this year. Thanks for dropping in, happy card making.

I love this sketch and will be putting it into my favorites to use again for sure. I have also made this card to enter into the July Inspiration Challenge and here is the inspiration pic. I din't use the colours but did incorporate the stripes :)
I love this new set to bits, it is called Sparkly bits and the fonts used are beautiful. I have also included the beautiful butterfly that is included in the set :)
Thanks for stopping by today!
