Just playing around

Wednesday, January 28, 2015

Usually my cards are based around challenges but yesterday I just sat down and played with my stamps and created whatever I felt inspired to make :) I also wanted to play with my new Derwent pencils which I scored at half price last week so now the very proud owner of 120 beautiful pencils. I need more practice but will get there I hope :). This first card I made with some Reverse Confetti goodies.

Then yesterday as I was playing a lovely set arrived in the mail.......Penny Blacks Cake and Wishes set........So full of cuteness :). Thanks for stopping by!

  1. How fun to create just for the fun of it--and using new stuff before the dust gathers on it. Love both of your cards. I am in love with my Derwent pencils--I'm sure you will enjoy them.

  5. Hi Lynn, did you get derwent inktense? If so they are fabulous to use I also have a new set faber castell albrecht pencils, not used them as yet, they are water colour ones....trying to get away from copic as too expensive to keep replacing and the ink refills, well I would need around 150 of them....look forward to seeing yours...I got mine from Riot and Office workds.xx

    1. These are called fine art pencils but I think I would like to add some of the inktense :) I have been colouring a little light but I tend to do that did the same with the copics. I so agree about the cost of copics and refilling I just cannot afford that really. I got 120 pencils for 180.00 was really chuffed. I have a few watercolour pencils here and like them as well but would love to play a little more with the Distress Inks love the little pads that they bring out <3 think I need to win lotto :)

  7. Excited to see you using your new pencils! I would say your practice looks pretty good! I have some of the Inktense pencils also, but usually use them with gambol, I need lots more practice at shading. Look forward to more beauties like these!
