The Great Cover-up Papertrey Ink

Thursday, October 28, 2021

I am loving the idea of layers at the moment and trying harder to add more to my cards. This card technically has seven layers and I am really pleased with the outcome. I especially love the font in this sentiment which comes from a previously released favourite called dash away all and I use it every year on my cards so such a favourite <3

Hope everyone finds some joy in the day ahead, I am back off to my craft area to relax and create some more Christmas cards.

Papertrey Ink

I decided to ink up my new to me butterfly for this challenge.  I added purple yellow and some iridescent sequins as my accents.

I used some of Papertrey inks spotted vellum behind my border die and added some white splatters as well

Papertrey Ink Challenge

Sunday, September 12, 2021

For this challenge one had to use embossing for accents and or
use rainstones.
I embossed my sentiment from the set Perfect Pairs Essentials which I think is going to be my new go to set for sentiments! I love this set and am so happy to have it in my collection. I used the lavender from another set that came in the order Brighter Days. I also added rainstones which I coloured with copic markers to finish off this card.

Thanks so much for dropping in, I hope your life is made a little brighter with some time to craft and create.

I love doing background blending and was keen to make a card for this challenge where embossing was also to be added. I used Spring and Sprays Stamp set and blended the background with Lovely Lady, Winter Wisteria and Blueberry Sky.

So enjoying the last order I received and hope to play more with this beautiful set in the next few days

Papertrey Ink The Great Cover-Up

Saturday, August 28, 2021

Playing along with the Great Cover-up today and very happy to have been able to make an order of some much desired stamp and dies which I have used one set on todays card.
Amy K made a beautiful card and I delighted in playing along as I don't think I have ever used my dies to create an impression for the background of a card. I was really pleased with the effect. Used was  Floral Bliss and background border die and I am so happy with the beautiful impression it left. I then got to play with a new to me set Abundant blooms which is soooooo pretty and I want to make more and more cards with it. Papertrey sure make it easy with the beautiful stamps and dies they design.

Here is my card for this challenge

Papertrey Ink Challenge

Thursday, August 26, 2021

Today was the nicest day I have had in a long time because I got some longtime desired Ink to Paper stamps and I cannot wait to ink them up. For the latest What do I do with this Challenge I coloured up my Peonies on Parade set. I coloured then with Zig pens on bristol smooth cardstock.

I coloured my raindrops Yellow in the center of my flower, pink on the flowers and added some grey to those sitting on the border. I so love this stamp set and it has been some time since I last used it.

Papertrey Ink Live around 5

Thursday, August 5, 2021

I really enjoyed this water colour technique running the ink pad across slightly wet paper then brushing it out a little more. I think the black ink against it is quite striking and I love this set and will be making more of these cards for sure. Thanks for doing this series as I have found a lot of inspiration though watching them. Here is a link to this technique if you would like to watch here

Thanks for dropping in, I hope your day has a little crafting time in it!

Papertrey Ink Challenge

Friday, July 23, 2021

For this Challenge Kayva made an amazing card with Happy Birthday on it in Braille. The challenge calls for texture with dies and or heat embossing.

I decided to use the dies that go to one of my first Papertrey Ink sets........Happiness in Blooms. I love this set still to this very day and I don't think it will ever date. I used the dies only to make my flowers and then added a coordinating button in the centers. I love to use buttons on my cards but often struggle with how to add them and this was so easy. It adds further texture to the card. My background was heat embossed with the rustic brick background and then I lifted my heat embossed sentiment with dimensionals and lastly added a few sequins as a finishing touch.  I had fun with this challenge and look forward to seeing others interpretations. Happy Cardmaking! Lyn

I have only just managed to squeeze this in, life has been busy and I have so wanted to play along with the challenges. I think Papertrey Ink/ Ink to Paper will always be a very favourite of mine and today I played with a few things that I had not yet used. A mix of both Ink to Paper and Papertrey goodies.

NBUS Challenge #23

Tuesday, February 16, 2021

Oh my goodness I have enough NBUS to play along for the next five to ten years I think :). The stamp I opened is from Taylored Expression as I thought I would also play along with their Facebook Challenge this month. This Grumpy Cat has some awesome sayings but today this particular one suited me most :)

I cut some cardstock into strips and made the backing then stamped my cat and was about to diecut him out and decided I liked the look of him on the white square so there he stayed.

I am not off to visit some of the other bloggers cards :) hope everyone is well and has good coffee in the house!

The lovely Shauna was a Guest designer for this challenge and created a beautiful birthday card with a gorgeous set in the December release. I have added this to my wish list (Vintage Flair) a long list :)

I decided to use a favourite set of mine which was a freebie with a  purchase some time back and I love so much about it........the font is gorgeous and I just love birthday cakes.

Ink to Paper Challenge

The latest challenge is to make a 'Sending Love' card. As soon as I saw the sending I thought of a beautiful sentiment die I have in a gorgeous kit from a few years back. I love this set and stamped my flowers with two of my very favourite Ink to Paper colours..........Raspberry fizz and the best pink in the universe Lovely Lady.

Off to browse my blog read, to those that visit thanks for dropping by and may you have a blessed and creative day.

Use a heart Melissa's Fab Friday Feature

Wednesday, January 13, 2021

I love Melissa's creations and how she builds those layers in her cards. I used an older set called XOXO which has hearts galore in it. I love the style of this particular heart and used it to cover the background. I thin added a diecut sentiment and that is pretty much it. I am loving going through older sets and making cards but also looking forward to the upcoming release.
