Verve July Inspiration Challenge

Gorgeous inspiration for this months Challenge and I have been wanting to play along for a few weeks now and happy that I managed to play before the Challenge closed.

I got my sewing machine out for this one and was fun as I have not done any sewing on a card in quite a while. I love the beautiful fonts that Verve use and the lovely Verses <3 It is always fun to create with these beautiful stamps.

Color Throwdown 403

Every week I so look forward to seeing the beautiful cards that the amazing team make and think I must play along. Well this week I finally got around to playing along and I am not sure why but I found the colours to be quite a challenge. It seems I just wanted to go bright orange rather than a more peach tone. Anyway that is what I love about a challenge and I am pleased with the finished card. Thanks for stopping by I hope your day is full of blessings and time to craft.

Reverse Confetti SFYTT

Finally I have added the beautiful Butterfly Dreams stamps to my RC collection and this morning decided they needed to see ink :) . I also broke open a beautiful patterned paper pad that has been admired for too long and needs to grace some card stock.

Well not much more to say as worked a nightshift before coming home and making this card, but what better way to wind down than play with stampin goodies!

Day Two Altnew Color Your Day Class

So happy to have registered for this class as I have opened up stamps that have possibly intimidated me a little. There are so many beautiful cards out there using the Altenew stamps that I wondered if I could do them any justice. Yesteday I watched the Day 2 video and it was about using the color wheel and very helpful. I so need to pop out in the next few days and purchase a wheel. I did play it safe really using red and green but very happy with the combo as red flowers are among the most striking in my opinion. I inked up Lacy Scrolls for the very first time and now I wonder why I had not played with them earlier :) it is such a beautiful set.
Thanks for dropping in and hopefully I will sneak in a card for day three as I have the bug and cannot wait to roll my sleeves up and ink a little.

Hopefully today I will find the cords for my lightbox and my backgrounds will be a little less grey :)

Altenew Color Your Day Classes

I am so delighted to see Therese Clavird teaching over at Altenew as I love her cards and the first lesson has been awesome. I loved the inspiration and it enabled me to create this card. I used a floral stamp from the botanical gardens set and used my Zig watercolor markers. This is the first time I have seriously used them and was really pleased that they were not difficult to use at all LOL.

So without further ado here is the card I created from day one.
