Tuesday, July 16, 2019

This week was about using your favourite background stamp and I did not have one from Ink to Paper so I decided to make my own with using a Papertrey Ink Stencil so hope that is okay!
I used the new Framing Florals Stamp Set..............Love this to bits and hope to add the Birch background to my collection one day soon :)

I adore Laurie's creations and this week is no exception :). I was also very delighted to receive my very first order of Ink to Stamps sets and love this Frame It Out set to bits <3. I found some left over card stock and stamped some fun circular patterns from the Lets Fiesta Set in the matching inks and then opened the beautiful Frame It Out set to finish my card off.

Laurie's Fabulous Favourites Ink to Paper Challenge

Monday, July 1, 2019

It feels like forever since I made a card and it has been a while. I am sooooo loving the new Ink to Paper stamps and had a couple of sets arrive today <3
I love Lauries Fabulous favourites and it is so nice to see her creations each week. I played along this week and I decided two things...............I was going to play with a set I have had and adored for a long time and use a colour that is not my norm to turn to :)
Here is my card, the flowers are from the set Bloomers which is among one of the first set I purchased. I selected Lavender Moon to create with and really happy with the outcome <3 I need to go sleep now as just finished a night shift with one left then two off to play with my new goodies.

Well with Valentines coming up this is a great challenge as someone somewhere will be wanting a card to send to someone!
I adore this sentiment from Altenew and thought this was the perfect time to ink it up. Thanks for dropping by today. For those crafty friends in America please keep warm. My Aussie friends are sweltering and same here in NZ. Today is a little more overcast so here is to hoping it is a tad cooler.

Anything goes Southern Girls Challenge

Wednesday, January 16, 2019

First Challenge for 2019 and it is anything goes. I decided to use a stamp set from Neat and Tangled that I had bought and not used. I have made this card to send to a beautiful soul in England who is battling breast cancer. Inside the card is stamped You Rock which is just the right sentiment for this amazing woman. Despite all the challenges in her life Sue remains positive and is fighting like a champ. Love that we can make and send cards <3

Southern Girls Challenge

Tuesday, December 4, 2018

Yay this week is anything goes and I am happy as I have really enjoyed doing blended backgrounds so much and this gave me a very good excuse to do another. Please go and check the blog out as the team really did give some awesome inspiration and there are more than cards to check out.
I am so hoping to do a wedding album for me next year full of beautiful memories of the hubby I still love and miss so dearly. This weeks inspiration has spurred me on to stop thinking about it and start doing it!. Here is my card for this fortnights challenge. I so LOVE snowmen and this one just captured my heart. He is from Sweet n Sassy and I love him so. I cannot believe that this is the first time he has seen ink!

Thanks for stopping by!

Couldn't resist!

Sunday, November 25, 2018

I so enjoyed ink splatters that I decided to have another play and here is my second card for the Southern Girls Challenge.  Check this blog out and it is super awesome as there is a good component of Kiwi and Aussie Cardmakers in this group. It would be lovely to get to know a few more local crafters!
I have had this set sitting in view for more time that I care to confess and thought it would look good with a oxide ink backdrop with splatters. I have lots of distress inks but only one oxide pad and was keen to try it out. LOVE how it blends onto the cardstock!
So here is my second card with oxide ink splatters and stamps coloured with distress ink pens.
Many thanks for dropping by.

Southern Girls Challenge

Saturday, November 17, 2018

This fortnight for the Southern Girls Challenge the theme is Inks and Sprays. I received a little parcel from Papertrey ink this week and had spoiled myself somewhat with the beautiful Botanical Bounty set so thought I would ink up those beautiful blossoms and throw a few ink splatters about :).
I also used a lovely die that is from a series being done this year called shape shifters............Love them to bits!. I used Papertrey Inks to colour my blossoms and the light blue is looking a little gray in my photo. So hard to get a true reflection of the colours :). Well here is my card, thanks for stopping by.  Check out this awesome Challenge,  would love to see you sharing there to!

Southern Girls Challenge Use a Sticker

Thursday, November 8, 2018

I recently found a close to home challenge that while open to everywhere has a large component of New Zealand and Australian crafters :) would be nice to get to know others from closer by that have the same passion for crafting. I took a look around the wonderful sponsors store 'Kinda Cute'

I just could not resist this gorgeous snowman! I cut him out and did a little colouring to tie in with my background paper and then finished my card of with some slightly puffy stickers as was the challenge this week :) . I sure look forward to seeing what others have done with this challenge and hope to drop by your blogs soon. Happy Cardmaking! Here is my creation for this challange
